Former president Olusegun Obasanjo yesterday threw another bomb at President Buhari.

While speaking at the Babacar Ndiaye lecture series in Indonesia earlier today, Obasanjo who is opposed to President Buhari’s re-election bid, said the president is too weak that he cannot even sign the African free trade agreement (AfCTA).

“Africa cannot overcome fears of trade wars till it achieves 50 percent intra-Africa trade. The AfCTA is a good idea and for Nigeria, hopefully, we will have a president that will be able to sign it because the one that is there now, his hands are too weak to sign.”he said

Nigeria was absent at the meeting where leaders from 44 African countries signed the agreement to form a $2.5 trillion continental free-trade zone in March this year. The free-trade zone is the largest in the world since the creation of the World Trade Organisation in 1995.

When You Fall Out Of Cash, Your Wife Will Automatically Fall Out Of Love - Pastor Folu Adeboye

When You Fall Out Of Cash, Your Wife Will Automatically Fall Out Of Love - Pastor Folu Adeboye

Home/ News/ When you fall out of cash, your wife will automatically fall out of love

By

 Daniel O.

Pastor Foluke Adeboye, wife of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor E.A Adeboye, has given marital advice to people who are looking forward to getting married.

According to Pastor Foluke Adeboye, a man needs to get a job before getting married, or else his wife will fall out of love with him when he falls out of cash.

At the day 4 of the Church’s annual youth convention, Pastor Foluke, who is popularly referred to as Mummy G.O, also gave advice to people whose marriage might be facing some crisis.

Below are some points from her sermon which were shared on the Church’s official Twitter account:

“The foundation of marriage must be on God and God only.

What is not of God is not good. Those who walk in the way of the Lord are undefiled.

There should be no deceit in courtship.

Don’t marry a wife on credit.

Whatever you can afford is what you should do. Cut your coat according to your cloth (not your size).

Get a job before marriage. When you fall out of cash she falls out of love.

The problem we have today is that Youths don’t want to be accountable.

An indomitable woman is supposed to be a builder in the marriage.

When you live a false life as a youth, when you get married your partner is in TROUBLE.

Honour each Other. Men love honour, some wives can’t even call their husband with respect.

If Jesus can tolerate us then we must learn to tolerate others.

If your marriage is already domitable it can be amended to indomitable.

If you can’t say SORRY, PLEASE, and THANK YOU, You need to amend your ways.

There can be amendments. God can make things better in your marriage.

Lord, have your way and give me to heart to surrender to you totally so that my marriage can be Indomitable. Lord, I want to enjoy the benefits of an Indomitable marriage, help me.”

Bride And Groom's Mother Fight Dirty Over Food On the Day Of Her Wedding

Bride And Groom's Mother Fight Dirty Over Food On the Day Of Her Wedding
A wedding party in Lagos State reportedly took to an awry turn after the bride and the groom's mother were locked in a fight over food.

A Twitter user identified as @seehausaboy on the platform has narrated how a heart-breaking scene unfolded at a wedding a colleague of his attended in Lagos.

The bride and groom's mother fought each other on the wedding day. According to the narrator, the fight erupted over food.

Read his post below:

"I asked a colleague how her weekend went and she said she went for a wedding in Lagos and something dramatic happened Guys! I can't laugh alone Issa Thread

My colleague is a friend to the groom and as such, had to represent. They worked back in day as bankers in one of the top generation Banks. There was lotsa food and drinks, DJ was on point, everything was going on smoothly.

But then again, both the groom and the bride cooked separately to ensure the meal gets to all the people they invited (which i think is the norm these days with Yoruba weddings) but unfortunately, the food on the groom side had finished in no time

Then walked in a very important guest from the groom's family, a very close relation of the mother in law of the bride. He apparently showed up late and she needed to have them served. they were just too important not to be entertained

The mother in law approached the bride to speak to her caterer to have them serve her guests who had just arrived. to her surprise, she declined and said the food remaining was for some guests at home.

The mother in law ignored her and went to dish out some food from the cooler and ordered it to be taken to the guest who were already seated and waiting. The caterer couldn't stop her because after all, she was the mother of the groom!

Next thing, the bride came down from the car and ordered that the food be returned. the guys carrying the food were confused. the bride actually went by herself, collected the tray and poured the food back into the cooler

The Mother in law felt to embarrassed and disrespected that she slapped the bride. The bride returned the slap! the heavens let loose.

There was chaos everywhere. The groom and the groomsmen were so disappointed. he said he wasn't interested in the solemnization of the union anymore. He left along with his family members. The bride too left as well

In the end, my colleague kukuma packed her 'Kaya' and left. leaving a huge number guest murmuring and stuff at what had transpired"

In a recent interview with Sunnewsonline, Anita dished out tips on relationships and how they can best be managed. When she was asked a question pertaining to celebrity marriages, she had this to say:

“Civilisation has its disadvantages and this is one of them. As women work, they have become independent and will not take any form of abuse from a man.

It used to be that every mum had a business or was just a stay-at-home mum taking care of the kids; but now the status quo has changed. Women now work and can make the decision to leave if they are not being treated right, not minding where the upkeep is coming from, as they can provide for themselves and their children.”

Speaking on forgiveness and cheating husbands, Anita said, “To me, a man that cheats is saying, ‘I prefer someone else’ so what is the point? I will forgive but forgiveness is not reconciliation. If he is not satisfied with me, Anita, then he belongs to someone else.”

According to the talented actress, everyone should look before they leap when it comes to relationships to avoid broken homes.

In her words:

“It is not a spur of the moment thing. It happens like that because of our job. Being busy while in a relationship, you think you know the person, but he turns out to be someone who you don’t recognise, and you run for cover. It is a natural phenomenon. But I would advise couples to look before leaping.”

Anita Joseph is a Nigerian actress and singer who hails from Anambra state in south east Nigeria. She was born on 4 January and is a graduate of Mass Communication from University of Calabar.

British-Nigerian lawmaker, Fiona Onasanya charged with lying and perverting the direction of justice

British-Nigerian lawmaker, Fiona Onasanya charged with lying and perverting the direction of justice

British-Nigerian Labour MP, Fiona Onasanya, has been charged with two counts of looking for to pervert the course of justice by way of allegedly blaming a person else for rushing offences committed by herself and her brother, prosectors have said.

The 34-year-old former solicitor, who narrowly won the Peterborough constituency at the 2017 election, faced two charges jointly with her younger brother, Festus Onasanya, a 33-year-old singer from Cambridge.

The pair appeared at Westminster magistrates court on 12 July and were due to appear at a court yet to be determined on 13 August. Festus Onasanya also faces a third charge of perverting the course of justice.

Both charges involving the MP, who defeated the long-serving Conservative MP Stewart Jackson by 607 votes at last year’s election, relate to allegedly seeking to blame someone else for speeding offences. Onasanya has not commented. If Onasanya was to be convicted of an offence and it is not known whether she will deny the allegations it could provoke a byelection in a hugely marginal seat.

Under the law, which came into force in 2015 allowing MPs to be recalled, a recall petition could be triggered if a sitting MP has been convicted of an offence and received a jail term of any length, even if it was suspended.

Under earlier rules, MPs  were automatically ejected from the Commons if they were jailed for a year or more.

Imran Khan - Involving myself into marriage with Reham is the worst thing that has ever happened to me

Imran Khan - Involving myself into marriage with Reham is the worst thing that has ever happened to me

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan is contesting for Prime Minister in Pakistan elections which will be held at July 25.

Talking about his third wife during an interview with the pres, he revealed that he did not see the face of his third wife, Bushra Maneka, till they were married.

“I did not catch a glimpse of my wife's face until after we were married. I proposed to her without seeing her because she had never met me without her face being covered with a full veil.”

He added, “The only idea I had of what she looked like came from an old photograph I had seen in her house."

When Bushra finally did remove her veil, Khan adds: 'I was not disappointed, and now I am happily married.'

Imran explained that he had not seen Bushra Bibi’s face as the 39-year-old is a spiritual guide and “did not meet men other than her husband with her face uncovered, nor ventured unveiled outside her house, which she rarely leaves”.

Khan says that if he does win the election, Bushra will not attend official functions. The one-time nightclub habitué insists he does not mind. 'She meets very few people, but it suits me fine. I am past the age of socialising. I am quite happy with this life.'

Speaking about his marriage to Journalist Reham Khan, he said: “Normally I don't say anything about Reham, but I will say this: I've made some mistakes in my life, but my second marriage has to be the biggest.”

In her autobiographical book titled ‘Reham Khan’, Imran’s wife made several startling claims that tend to put Imran in a bad light.

According to Reham, Imran Khan was a homosexual who has ‘relations’ with a PTI leader and a Pakistani actor, consumed hard drugs, was a believer of black magic, and had fathered at least five ‘illegitimate’ children, some of whom were Indian.

As for his first wife, they are still 'good friends.'

Meanwhile, Charly Boy has come out to support his daughter, Dewy Oputa, after she shared a cozy photo of herself and her lesbian partner on social media.

He told Sunday Scoop that he would always support his daughter irrespective of her choice of a sexual partner. He said,

“She is my daughter, why won’t I support her even if she is whatever she is? My father supported me too. We can argue on moral grounds but we all have our rights to life. I fought for the gay community; so, if my daughter turns out to be this way, I should walk my talk.”

Admitting that he might not like her sexuality personally, he said there was nothing he could do about it since she is an adult. The Area Father stated,

“I have daughters who are married and have children, but she is the only one who has decided to be different. As long as she finds happiness or moves on with her life, I don’t have any problem with it. My father wanted me to be a lawyer and I told him I didn’t want to be a lawyer; I did what made me happy.

What do you say on this?

If heaven is for Adeboye, Kumuyi and the rest, i rather choose to go to hellfire- Facebook user

Facebook sex therapist, Angela Nwosu has revealed reasons why she might not want to go to heaven.

According to her, heaven is where she believes Adeboye, Kumuyi and other religious leaders will go and it will be a boring place.

Read her post below:

I don’t want to make heaven!

If heaven is where Pastor Adeboye, Kumuyi, David Oyedepo and all other religious leaders and people will go to after death, then I reject it with every fibre of my being. Heaven will sure be a very boring and unbearable place to be in, full of fake people and extortionists and heartless people. I want to be where Fela is and would be happy to see Davido, Wizkid, Tekno, etc, join me there.

The thing about me is I don’t ever want to be like you. You don’t believe that you can live the way that I do. Seriously, you act like life’s a recital from the bible and once you reach the end you won’t know where the time goes.

I’m living through my flows so please enjoy the show. No Jesus above tells me how to live my life, I do this for me, am not ashamed, I do not hide. I already have a God that turns me on with reckless abandon. He’s the God that I see and believe in and his name is Emeka.

Sack archbishop now over cover-up on child sexual abuse- Australia Prime Minister tells Pope

Australian PM Malcolm Turnbull has called on Pope Francis to sack a Catholic archbishop found guilty of concealing child sexual abuse.

Archbishop of Adelaide Philip Wilson was convicted in May of covering up abuse by a paedophile priest, but has resisted calls to resign.

The most senior Catholic in the world to be convicted of the crime, Wilson has said he will appeal the verdict.

Mr Turnbull said: "The time has come for the Pope himself to sack him."

Two weeks after Wilson was sentenced to detention, the prime minister said that the "ultimate authority in the Church" must now intervene

"There are many leaders that have called on him [Wilson] to resign - it is clear that he should resign," he told reporters in Sydney.

Throughout his trial, Wilson denied having known about the abuse of altar boys by a priest colleague, James Patrick Fletcher, in New South Wales in the 1970s.

But a court disagreed, with a judge saying that Wilson had remained silent in a bid to protect the Church's reputation.

Media caption'Wilson ignored my story for decades'

Fletcher was convicted of nine child sexual abuse charges in 2004, and later died in jail.

Earlier this month, the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference said only the Pope had the authority to compel Wilson to resign.

Some bishops had "offered their advice privately", said Archbishop Mark Coleridge in a statement.

It came after a magistrate ordered Wilson to be assessed for a maximum 12-month sentence in "home detention" - meaning he is expected to avoid jail.

The president of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), Mr Bobboi Kaigma talk on the amount concluded with Federal Government on minimum wage

The president of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), Mr Bobboi Kaigma talk on the amount concluded with Federal Government on minimum wage

The President of the Trade Union
Congress of Nigeria (TUC), Mr Bobboi Kaigama, announced on Wednesday that a new
amount agreed by the Federal Government and labour to serve as Nigeria’s new minimum
wage would be announced next month.

Bobboi, who made the disclosure
in an interview with the labour correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria
(NAN) in Lagos, said that the committee working on the minimum wage had almost
concluded negotiations on the matter.

The Federal Government had set a
September date to roll out a new minimum wage for workers, although the
Minister of Labour, Dr Chris Ngige, was recently reported as “double-speaking”
on the issue.

Civil servants in Nigeria are
eagerly awaiting a wage increase after years of enduring a wage structure,
described by analysts as one of the lowest in the world.

But public office holders in
Africa’s most populous nation, including members of the bi-cameral parliament
enjoy some of the biggest wages in the world, according to analysts.

Kaigama said that a tripartite
committee meeting was holding on Wednesday in Abuja but refused to elaborate on
issues being discussed at the meeting.

“The tripartite meeting is
holding today but I do not want to pre-empt the outcome or the level we have
reached in our discussions, otherwise there will be unnecessary anxiety.

”But by the end of August, I am
assuring you that workers will know what the agreed new minimum wage will be”,
he said.

On November 22, 2017, President
Muhammadu Buhari approved the appointment of a 30-member committee to work out
a new minimum wage. He inaugurated the committee on November 27.

I turned into stealing because hardship has made people not to build house anymore-Bricklayer confesses

A bricklayer who was recently apprehended by men of the Niger state police command for stealing motorcycles, says he resorted to stealing because people no longer builder houses in the state.

28 year old Danjuma Idris and his accomplice, 27-year-old Mohammed Kudu, had been terrorising motorcyclists in Kpakungu, Chanchaga Local Government Area of the state. They were arrested after stealing the motorcycle of one Emeka Johnson who resides in Ketaren Gwari.

When interrogated, Idris said he had to seek another means to survive since no one was calling him for bricklaying jobs anymore.

“Things are hard, l am looking for what to survive on since there are no jobs anywhere. I have been in this business of snatching motorcycles from people for years. The bricklayer job I was doing cannot sustain me, people are no  longer building houses as before and things are hard for young men and that was why I resorted to snatching motorcycles from people,” he said.

Parading them before newsmen, the state police command spokesperson, Muhammad Abubakar, said the suspects would be charged to court once investigations have been completed.
