Israeli forces detain 20 Palestinians, including minor, in overnight West Bank raids

RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained at least 20 Palestinians, including a minor, on Thursday morning from areas across the occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS).

Six Palestinians, including a minor, were detained by Israeli forces from the Bethlehem district; they were identified as Muhammad Adel Zboun, 14, and his brother Mahmoud, Adi Raed Makhlouf, Muhammad Naim Taqatqa, 24, Hamada Fayiz Salhab and Adi Zawahreh.

Israeli forces detained six other Palestinians from the Hebron district, PPS identified them as Karim Ibrahim Abu Maria, Mahdi Abu Maria, Fahd Abed al-Munim al-Salaima, Muhammad Nassar al-Salaymeh and his brother Ahmad and Abdullah Ziyad al-Rajabi.

In the Jerusalem district, three Palestinians were detained; they were identified as writer and editor Rasem Obeidat, Abdullah al-Kiswani President of Mount Olive Club and Ahmad Sub Laban.

Israeli forces detained five more Palestinians from the Nablus district, they were identified as Jamil Yacoub Uweisi, Ahmad Assaf Daraghmeh, Sami Yasser Yassin, Khalid Abed al-Jalil al-Shreidi and Nasser Medhat al-Shalkhati.

Israeli raids in Palestinian cities, towns and refugee camps are a daily occurence.

According to Palestinian prisoners rights group Addameer, as of April, there were 6,036 Palestinians being held in Israeli prisons
