Joshua madaki, the new speaker of the plateau residence of meeting has referred to as on his colleagues to support his leadership to be able to prevail.
Madaki, who become the leader whip of the meeting before his new workplace, made the decision in an interview with the news agency of nigeria on thursday in jos.
Nan reviews that the assembly on wednesday impeached the erstwhile speaker, mr peter azi, who recommended the affairs of house for over three years with 17 out of the 24 participants of the house signing the impeachment notice.
Madaki, who commend his colleagues for the self belief reposed in him, assured them of a robust assembly that might be the envy of all.
“i really need to thank my colleagues for locating me worthy of this exalted workplace.
“however, i need to name on them to cooperate and guide me to be successful.
“i need to guarantee my colleagues and certainly, plateau people that below my management, this meeting will witness proactive legislative activism,” he assured.
The speaker also advised his colleagues to remain focused and resolute in discharging their legislative functions.
He also commended azi for steerage the affairs of the assembly through the years and advised him to new leadership.
