The Police Command in Niger says eight men and women have died because of a downpour in Rafin-Gora village in Kontagora local authorities location of the country.
The Police Commissioner, Alhaji Dibal Yakadi, informed the news organisation of Nigeria in Minna on Monday that the bodies of the sufferers have been recovered.
Yakadi said that the deceased had been washed away with the aid of flood from the heavy rain which happened on Monday evening. He introduced that the search and rescue operation turned into ongoing to recover the closing missing the bodies.
