My humble advice to my brother Kenneth Okonkwo (aka Andy )

By Ike Ezugwu

Ken,  my brother, Ken! Please, don't have to pour kerosene into an already raging fire. One man cannot be louder or stronger than the people. You have the constitutional rights, so mentioned, including to vote for Buhari.... You also have the right to solicit the support of Ndigbo for him. After all, many Igbo sons have done same.

Yes, many have and many still do. However, my  brother, it would have been better you kept your convictions to yourself and pushed on or abstained from calling out Ndigbo to support the man they consider an enemy. But, you did, you sought their votes for Buhari so that after Buhari they would have their turn. By so doing, leaning on your convictions and rights, you called on Ndigbo to support Buhari.

Bro, don't you think they also deserve the right to express their own convictions and rights? They should also enjoy same rights to opinion and association. Most of our people, upon seeing your video, turned into critics and enemy. Naturally, they have their reasons. They don't see what you see and don't  feel what you feel. Don't blame them.

But you did! You called them names - "ignorant and satanic"; you lashed out at them as wicked and lacking vision.... Ken, politicians are of a special breed, they absorb and ignore. Learn to be one, a good one.The freedom you freely expressed, they have equally explored! Let every man go according to his or her wisdom and conscience.

That is the beauty of it all.
Now, let me tell you.... Our people are happy with Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi's performance  as the governor of Enugu State. They are happy to reelect him in 2019. They are Happy that Enugu state is the hands of God and under the canopy of PDP.

That is the simple truth. Our people, the 5-percenters, are not happy with President Buhari and definitely need more education and information from you and other supporters of Mr. President to "file behind him". They are not ignorant and wicked as you have labelled them. Bro, apologize to our people and rethink your stand. That's my advice anyway.

Our people say that when one person cooks for the people (clan or village), they finish it but when the people cook for an individual, he cannot finish it. Pursue your political option and rights in peace, but leave others to do likewise. Let Ndigbo be!

Egbe bere, Ugo bere!
