IPOB Members In Equatorial Guinea Shut down Their Shops To Join In Sit - At - Home Order

Members of the Indigenous People of Biafra in faraway Equatorial Guinea have reportedly staged a protest in solidarity with their colleagues in Nigeria.

IPOB shops reportedly locked in Equatorial Guinea

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, declared a sit-at-home protest across the states in the South-East and some states in the South-South to mark the one year anniversary since their leader, Nnamdi Kanu disappeared after his home was invaded by soldiers.

The protest recorded some success in Bata, Equatorial Guinea where members of the group living and doing business in the country locked up their shops to join their kinsmen in Nigeria.

The members who shared photos on social media explained their reasons as they are in solidarity with others in Nigera.

The sit-at-home protest comes exactly one year after the Nigerian Army invaded the Afaraukwu, Umuahia country home of Nnamdi Kanu.

Since the invasion on September 14, 2017, Nnamdi Kanu has not been seen and his whereabouts remain unknown. His parents have also not been seen since then.
