Jonathan's Presidency A Prelude To Restructuring Or Igbo Presidency - Peter Ejirika

Portrait of Pres. Jonathan's Presidency

By Peter Ejirika

Before, I commence this brief discussion of the above Portrait of President Jonathan’s Presidency, I wish to state the following caveats:

I am Citizen of Prewar Port Harcourt by birth and my father came to Port Harcourt to trade in Yam and Smoked Fish in the eighteen hundreds when the only route leading in and out of Port Harcourt was a Sole Foot Path and I lived in Port Harcourt all my life until the fall of the Garden City in Spring of 1967 to the Vandals of Awusa/Fulani Origin.

So Prewar Port Harcourt is the only city that I know in the Devil’s Rectangle known as Nigeria which the British founded under the false theory that a Black Person is the two thirds of a human being hence our great grandfather Dede Jibeoha, otherwise known as King Jaja of Opobo resented the British and their frivolous concept of Nigeria and he paid dearly with his life.

I am not making a mockery of the Ijaw Folks because they are my flesh and blood.

In addition, most of the mothers of Ijaw Individuals of sixty years and above are or were from Owerri or Umuahia for instance, President Jonathan’s Wife is the cousin of Umuahia Folks and All Ijaw Folks with the last name Alagoa including Dr. Alagoa of the University of Port Harcourt have blood ties with the Mba’s of Obaazu Mbieri just as the Ogans of Okirika have blood ties with the citizens of Owerri Town.

But a careful study of the above picture presents a conclusive evidence that the quality of life of persons of middle and low socioeconomic status of Ijaw Origin has remained static and has not changed since the eighteen hundred yet Jonathan from Nembe Brass was the president of the Devil’s Haven known as Nigeria for more than six years.

A curious mind may ask why was this so, the answer is that the Awusa / Fulani Charlatans did not allow Jonathan to govern the country rather they were micro managing Nigeria from the rear and at times, they made threats to Jonathan’s life in other words they made good on their threats that they would make Nigeria ungovernable.

Regrettably, I wish to state that there are no Rests Rooms or Showers with in-house plumbing facilities for persons of low to middle socioeconomic status in Rivers State.

Though, the first secondary school in Nigeria was located in Rivers State by the Colonial Administration yet the quality of life of Persons of Lower Socioeconomic Status has not changed since the eighteen hundred.

The question is will that of the Igbo People be any different with Igbo Presidency or Restructuring, the answer is No. So, the Igbo Presidency or Restructuring is not worth a dime or half penny to Igbo People of Lower Socioeconomic status hence the Igbo Presidency or What Nnia Nwodo and Emeka Emesiri call Restructuring is not a good alternative to Biafra’s Self Determination and Sovereignty.

The term Restructuring is a Business Management Concept that Attorneys trained in Cambridge, Oxford, Harvard, and Yale Universities find it difficult to digest so it is not surprising for Nigerian Trained Attorneys of Nnia Nwodo and Emeka Emesiri Calibre to construe Reverting to the Status Quo for Restructuring.

The question an inquiring mind has for these half-baked Attorneys is when did the Nigerian Electorates change their 1963 Constitution for there to be a Restructuring of the Constitution? The Concept of Restructuring is widely used in Bankruptcy Procedures in the Civilized World and not in Political Circumstances, for instance a company could file bankruptcy since is unable to pay its debt when due and rearrange its payment schedule thus changing its organizational structure from Chapter 7 to Chapter 11, this is what we call restructuring.

It has been forecasted that given the current economic growth rate that Nigeria would default on the Chinese Loans and at that time, the Awusa and Fulani leadership of Nigeria will restructure is National Debt with the understanding that there is no free Meal in Freetown.

Hail Biafra the land of high need achievers so Buhari give us Biafra for Biafrans want to compete with Japan in Economic Development, Academics, and Business rather than waist their talents with Cultures that have no confidence in themselves.
