The unannounced protest staged by the Indigenous people of Biafra on Friday in Enugu and Anambra have been marred with violence particularly Anambra as police man and IPOB member was killed during a fierce clash. IGBERE TV can now report.
Anambra IPOB PROTEST ON FRIDAY
IGBERE TV learnt that trouble started as combined team of security agents, comprising Joint Task Force (JTF) allegedly fired shots at the protesters, killing an undisclosed number of members of the group.
IGBERE TV gathered that the protesters had, as early as 11am, converged at Nnewi, Anambra state, from where they usually march to other areas of the city when security agents swooped on them.
In what appears like a reprisal attack, IPOB members outnumbered some police men and lynched one to death while the divisional police officer who lead the team narrowly escaped death.
Anambra IPOB PROTEST ON FRIDAY
IGBERE TV learnt that the incident occurred as IPOB members where sensitising the people about the need for a referendum to determine a sovereign state of Biafra and rejection of the 2019 general elections.
Enugu IPOB PROTEST ON FRIDAY
As at the time of filling this report, no actual number of those killed by both side has been recorded but unverified report says atleast 5 IPOB and One Policeman have so been confirmed dead.
Source closed to the IPOB leadership says some IPOB members were also arrested.
