“Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Nigerian separatist group, Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) emerges AFRICA GUARDIAN’s MAN OF THE YEAR 2018,” Africa Guardian, a South African media announces on their official Facebook page, twitter account and instagram.

According to Africa Guardian, “3 countries, 3 men were recommended for this. The public voted and chose one.”

During the poll, Africa Guardian said that the nomination is based solely on the influence of the person, his impact on society and achievements.


In a vote on its official Facebook page on December 13, 2018, after a street poll was reportedly carried out, the South African media presented 3 countries: Ghana, Nigeria and South Africa to be nominated. Nnamdi Kanu led in the poll with many votes, which made him the only one in the standings.
