Ethnic Nationality Youth Leaders Forum, ENYF, has called on governors-elect in the South East to keep party affiliation aside and co-operate with President Muhammadu Buhari to give the zone good governance to improve the living standard of the people of the zone.

Speaking in Umuahia, the deputy national chairman of the group, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro congratulated the re-elected and newly elected governors across the country and charged them to see their victory as call to service and dedicate themselves to serving the people well.

Isiguzoro also appealed to President Buhari to complete all the roads and other projects in Igbo land, including the Second Niger Bridge and to do more projects in the zone to reflect the increased support he received from the zone in the last election.

“We call on the South East Governors to keep party affiliation aside and work cordially with the President, give him total support and partner with him to give the people good governance”, Isiguzoro said.

Setting agenda for the South East governors, the group urged the re-elected governor of Enugu, Mr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi to work closely with the Federal Government to revive the Enugu Coal Mines abandoned over 46 years ago, saying the project would offer jobs to the teeming unemployed youths in the zone.

For Governor Dave Umahi, the group called on him to establish a Salt Industry in the state to harness the raw materials and further urged him to ensure that the Nkalagu Cement factory resumes full scale production, pointing out that these measures would transform the life of the people.

Isiguzoro called on the governor-elect of Imo State, Emeka Ihedioha to work towards the establishment of a dry sea port at Ngo Okpala and make the Sam Mbakwe Airport a full fledged International Airport.
