If You Have Conscience, Just Support Igbo Presidency Come 2023 - Iwuanyanwu Tells Ndigbo

MASTER REPORTERS GLOBAL NEWS

Breaking the news from around the globe.

Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, a politician from the South-East, says Nigerians must demand an Igbo president by 2023 if they have any conscience.

Iwuanyanwu, who was addressing journalists in Umuahia, said the presidency must be zoned to the South-East in 2023.

According to him, doing so would make Nigeria move to the next level of social, economic and political emancipation.

He said, “Every good Nigerian, every good Muslim, every good Christian must support a president of Nigeria of South-East extraction.

“If Nigerians have a conscience, equity and justice demand that they should allow the Igbo to produce the next president in 2023.

“I have made consultations to different Nigerians in the North. I have made consultations in the South-West and 80 percent of them are in support of a Nigerian President of Igbo extraction and of South-East region.”

Iwuanyanwu expressed his disappointment over what he called, “leadership failures in Nigeria.”

He said the Ndigbo are highly detribalized and could be found in the remotest villages in Nigeria, living peacefully and doing their businesses and paying their taxes.

If You Kill Any Igbo Man, You Will Give Us #500, 000 - Gov Obiano Tells Myetti Allah

MASTER REPORTERS GLOBAL NEWS

Breaking the news from around the globe.

By Nelson Ofokar Yagazie | Biafra Writers

The national contempt and disregard for the Igbo seem to have struck home as the governor of Anambara State, Willie Obiano, equates the life of an average Igbo with ₦500,000. Obiano who in the buildup to 2019 presidential election called the President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo, John Nnia Nwodo, an idiot in a hot exchange over which Fulani man to support while ignoring the aspirations of an Igbo son, Kingsley Moghalu, seems to have been totally carried away by the brewing hate and disregard for the Igbo as has been displayed by the Nigerian state since creation but by far more vigorously championed by the current administration of Muhammadu Buhari remotely controlled by Abba Kyari and Mamman Daura.

Drowned in this toxic river of hate and contempt for the Igbo, Obiano thinks the life of an average Igbo is worth only half a million naira – less than US$1,400. The self-demeaning governor made this disparaging remark in a gathering of Myetti Allah and few Igbo persons in what he presupposed a security accord between Myetti Allah and Anambara state government. As captured in the video clip making rounds, the governor said, “If you destroy any farm, you pay. And if you kill their cow (now talking to the Igbos), you pay. If for any reason somebody dies, it’s a police matter but if our people ‘is’ killed, they (Myetti Allah) will pay 500, 000 naira.”

To have valued the life of an average Igbo man at ₦500,000 is the heights of contempt. And to think this assessment applies to himself – being an Igbo himself – explains to what level the Igbo has lost self-esteem. Rather than hand out a total ban on Myetti Allah operations in the event of any murder, Obiano who partook in the proscription of the non-violence group, IPOB, demands a paltry sum of ₦500,000 in exchange for the life of those he was elected and sworn into office to protect. By implication, the Fulani herders – globally recognized as the fourth most deadly terrorist sect – can go on a killing spree as long as their parent body, Myetti Allah, can afford to pay the stated amount per head.

Although in the later part of his speech the governor attempted to balance things up by saying that the involved community will pay the stated fine also should any of the terror-leashing Fulani cattle herders die – say in the course of the villagers/famers defending selves – to have pegged the net worth of the life of an Igbo man at five hundred thousand naira cannot be excused. Come to that, the Igbo is not known for violence; on the contrary they are famous for their hospitality and acceptance for the alien. As such it’s unlikely that an Igbo man would try to take human life unless of course in self-defense. And there again they are being told that they’d have to pay fine for not allowing selves to be slaughtered by Fulani herdsmen in their own God-given land. Terrible!

JAMB Seized My Result Just Because I Scored Above 370 - Igbo Boy From Anambra

JAMB Seized My Result Just Because I Scored Above 370 - Igbo Boy From Anambra

MASTER REPORTERS GLOBAL NEWS

Breaking the news from around the globe.

Akachukwu Onyiuke, the whiz-kid, from Anambra State who scored 9As in the May/June 2019 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), Master Akachukwu Onyiuke, has challenged the Registrar of Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board JAMB (JAMB), Prof Ishaq Oloyede to arrest and prosecute him.

Master Onyiuke, who hails from Nimo in Njikoka Local Government of the state, told The Education Report that he suspected JAMB is holding on to his result because he may have scored above 370.

The whiz-kid told the JAMB Registrar to review the CCTV at his exam center to ascertain his claims of following due process before entering the hall to write the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and if he is not satisfied to prosecute him if he has evidence that he entered the exam hall illegally.

He said in a mail to SUN: “I am ready to be prosecuted by JAMB. They have arrested many candidates, why have they not come after me.

“The Registrar, Prof Oloyede, claimed I entered the exam hall illegally. If he has the proof that I did not follow due process in entering the exam hall, let him order my arrest.

“I am not scared because I did biometric and went through other formalities before proceeding to the third floor to write the UTME.”

Onyiuke’s UTME result was withheld since May despite efforts by school, parents and himself to secure the release of the result.

JAMB withheld the result without explanation until the Zonal Coordinator in Anambra State in August disclosed that he did not do biometrics.

Reacting, Onyiuke challenged JAMB registrar to do the needful if he (Oloyede) has evidence that he gained access into the exam hall illegally and arrest him.

His WAEC Result

The coordinator, Linda Ajanwachuku, told him via e-mail:

“As a result of the ticketing raised last Friday, your petition has been answered and has been sent to your email.

“Apparently, there is no evidence that you did biometrics verification before you entered the examination hall.’’

In response, Onyiuke stated: ‘’I suppose your reading of my interview on yesterday’s newspaper (published in Daily Sun, August 13, 2019) was what warranted your reply.

“I do not know if there are any ulterior motives attached to your reply, but the circumstances surrounding the nature of your reply and the time of your reply as well, have made me consider the fact that there must be some other strings attached.

“Nevertheless, I will like to make some points clear to you and to JAMB as well.

‘’First, as you might have seen and read in the newspaper, I wrote UTME twice; in SSII and SSIII and as such, I am very conversant with how to thumbprint. Only cheats do not thumbprint.

“Your inference is that I was not the one that wrote that exam. It is funny because I personally believe that no one in Nigeria can write that exam the way I wrote it.

“I am sure you know the saying: ‘If you want something done well, do it yourself.’

‘’If you claim that there is no evidence pointing the fact that I did thumbprint, I find that uncalled for.

“Firstly, my centre was arguably the best in the nation and there was no record of examination malpractice.

“Secondly, my slip was signed as evidence to prove that I did my biometrics verification so it is in your best interest and JAMB’s as well to produce that ‘signed slip’.

“Thirdly, I do not want to believe that the board is hard of hearing because I have stated for the umpteenth time that there are CCTVs in my examination centre and playing such CCTVs back to a certain date is something that even I can do.

‘’Having stated all these, I am sure that you will agree with me that there is enough evidence to go round.

“I urge the JAMB to review their consciences and also note that they are on the wrong side of this argument.

“If it is my high score that bothers you, my antecedents are more than sufficient to back it up.

‘’The following attachment is an affidavit that I swore. It gives a step-by-step explanation of how I carried out my activities on the said day.

“I forgot to add that I have received no reply to my tickets so your claim that it has been sent to my mail is false.’’

See attached an affidavit Onyiuke swore showing how he wrote the UTME on April 17, 2019.

He detailed how he got to the his exam centre, Chamscity/Sascon CBTS2, Third Floor, Sascon International School, Maitama, Abuja, and was made to queue up for 30 minutes alongside other candidates for screening and afterwards the biometrics.

The affidavit :

“In doing my biometrics, I placed my finger on the machine and made sure personally that my credentials appeared on the screen.’

‘’My examination centre was on the third floor. I made my way up the flight of stairs to the third floor and presented my signed examination slip to the official at the entrance upon which I was allowed into the exam hall to locate my seat.

“The examination went smoothly, and I was glad that after very thorough and strenuous hours, days, weeks and months of studying, I was not a bit surprised at what was presented on the screen, as the exam was very easy for me.

‘’In reality and actual fact, I do not expect to be presented with a score less than 370 at the least. I finished the exam, which was to run for two hours in about one hour and 15 minutes, thus giving me ample time to go through my work, which I did for the reminder of the time.

‘’We were again made to queue up so as to sign out. Again I thumbprinted and ensured that my credentials once again appeared on the screen. With this done, I submitted my signed examination slip to the official and left the premises.

“I, my school authorities and parents had earlier written and paid several visits to the JAMB office at Bwari, Abuja requesting for investigation and further verification, yet not a word from JAMB.’’

Breaking: South East Govs Bows To Pressure, Begs IPOB For Dialogue

MASTER REPORTERS GLOBAL NEWS

Breaking the news from around the globe.

South-East governors have said they are ready to engage in dialogue with the Indigenous

People of Biafra IPOB to resolve their differences.

IPOB had threatened to attack  South-East governors and other Igbo leaders outside the

country after beating former  Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, in Germany for

allegedly working their interest.

The Chairman of the South-East Governors’ Forum, Chief David Umahi, told our

correspondent on  Thursday that they never proscribed IPOB, but rather they banned

their activities in the region.

The Ebonyi State governor, who spoke through his Chief Press Secretary,  Emma Uzo,

asked IPOB to convene a meeting and invite the governors for discussions.

He said, “IPOB are our children. They are our brothers and sisters. They fight for their

fight on the pages of newspapers and social media, and it does not help. The best

thing is for all of us to sit down and talk. The governors are ready to speak with them.

“They should have a way of coming home or convene a meeting and the governors will

attend anywhere they want. Let us sit down and discuss it. And they should know that

the governors did not proscribed them, they lack constitutional powers to proscribed them.

They only banned  their activities in the region where they have jurisdiction.”

IPOB on Wednesday through  Aloy Ejimakor, counsel for Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB,

wrote to the governors, giving conditions for peace to reign.

The outlawed group in the letter, titled ‘Operation Python Dance: An Open Letter

To South-East Governors’,  demanded  “immediate and unconditional de-proscription

of IPOB and delisting it as a terrorist organisation. A truth and reconciliation commission

on the Python Dance lethal military operations of September 2017.”

The separatist group added, “A public apology for the extrajudicial killing of IPOB

members and desecration of the palace of an Igbo traditional ruler at Afaraukwu, Abia State.

A genuine dialogue with IPOB on its  referendum  demand for  the restoration of Biafra

and discontinuance of the ongoing prosecution of IPOB members and forbearance

of any future arrests and prosecutions.”

Breaking : 50 Igbos Has Been Kidnapped, Murdered In Benue State - Group Says

MASTER REPORTERS GLOBAL NEWS

Breaking the news from around the globe.

Magnus Eze, Enugu

group of Igbo businessmen has alleged that over 50 persons of Igbo extraction have been either kidnapped or murdered in Benue state since this year.

They, however, did not give details, but said that their people in various parts of Benue state, especially Gboko, have become ‘endangered species’ in the north central state.

They alleged that targeted kidnappings and murder of the Igbo in the state by native gangs, suspected herdsmen and bandits have remained unabated and called on the apex Igbo sociocultural organisation to come to their rescue.

A prominent member of the Igbo community in Gboko, Mr. Okafor Nnolim, who spoke to newsmen in Enugu yesterday on behalf of Ndigbo resident in Benue, stated that there was no week an Igbo was not kidnapped or murdered in the state even as they were subjected to paying millions of naira in ransoms.

“We can no longer do our businesses freely for fear of being kidnapped or murdered. Since January this year, we have had over 50 Igbo kidnapped and some murdered in cold blood by bandits and suspected herdsmen,” he said.

Nnolim’s fears and concerns were corroborated by another Igbo resident in the state, Chief Ndukaku, a fabrics merchant, who said their people were really in danger there.

Ndukaku, a trader at the Gboko Central Market, lamented the deteriorating state of insecurity in the state, noting that all efforts to get the security agencies and state government to address the matter had fallen on deaf ears.

“Igbo in Benue State are being systematically decimated and our businesses are gradually being ruined by these kidnappers and bandits,” he lamented.

Also, Mr. Ikem Ani lamented that Igbo in Benue have been subjected to untold hardship and their lives were no longer guaranteed.

According to him, “there is virtually no week that an Igbo is not kidnapped. We have tried to engage the state police command to no avail. We are, therefore, crying out for the world to know the fate of Ndigbo in Benue State.

The Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) calls on Igbo extraction elected office holders to repent in order to prevent the kind of attacks that their members committed last week in Nuremberg, Germany, against Senator Ike Ekweremadu.

Mr Chika Edoziem, the organisation’s Head of Directorate of State, stated this in a press statement he made available  in Awka, state capital of  Anambra State.

It said that political leaders from the South-East can still make amends by turning a new leaf, but stated that if they refused, members of the organization will continually attack them overseas.

IPOB added that it was considering adding the entire political leaders in Nigeria into its attack list, saying that they have continually impoverished Nigerians while investing in posh houses abroad and also educating their children in the best institutions of the world.

“As we march ahead in this sacred cause to restore our honor and dignity as a people no obstacle, be it human or material will be allowed to stand in our way. Very soon we shall show Dave Umahi the Fulani slave in Ebonyi Government House that IPOB has not only the capacity and reach but also the power through the grace of Chukwuokike Abiama to achieve our set objectives and fulfill our promise to the living and the dead.”

According to him, It is easy for anyone to pontificate.

“There will be no Igbo citizenship of Nigeria if in 2023 Igbos are denied the opportunity to produce President.

“The South East is not given serious chance to produce the president of this country.

“ After being given a serious chance and we could not make it, that could be understood but if anybody begins to say that there is no chance in 2023, that will be very dangerous.

Igbo Traders In The North To Set Up Vigilante Group

MASTER REPORTERS GLOBAL NEWS...

Traders of the South east extraction are stepping up arrangements to set up vigilante groups to protect their businesses in major markets in the Northern parts of the country.

To this end local vigilante groups in the South East are being mobilised from the five states in the region to commence recruitment of security personnel that will carry out 24-hour routine security operations in the markets, factories and other business concern’s that they have in Kano, Kaduna, Sokoto and other major cities in the area.

Lending credence to this move the former Chief Security Officer of Ohaneze Ndigbo Youths Worldwide and President General Omabala Youth Assembly Amb. Chibuzor Ekwenye told reporters that while they will resist the introduction of the Miyetti Allah vigilante groups in the South East, the Igbos in the North have commenced the mobilisation of its own self defence force should the Federal Government back the Fulani group’s proposal.

According to him, “Rising from the joint meeting of Ohaneze Youths Security summit which also had in attendance the Omabala Youth Assembly and Imo and Abia Youths Consultative Forum we here by resolved as follows:

“That we totally support the arrangements by our brothers and sisters in the North to set up their own vigilant groups in the area to protect their lives and properties in the major towns and also to play the role of escorts for their goods going to the North in order to avert the attacks by bandits and herdsmen in the area.

“This has become imperative following what our people have suffered in the hands of the outlaws and perpetrators of kidnapping and banditry in the northern parts of the country.

“As the Federal Government yet to give its position on the matter we have to take this stand if it chooses to support the insistence of the Northern group.”

Ezekwenye further noted that: “Arming the Fulani herdsmen or Miyetti Allah with guns to operate in the South East is a recipe for genocide of in the area and we would surely resist it.

“We do not want the relative peace in Anambra State and other states in the South East put in place by our governors to be truncated by the proposed actions of the Fulani herdsmen in the guise of forming a vigilante group to protect their cattle.

“That we warn these agents of death not to step into Igbo land because we have had enough of the killings and raping of our people in the area.”

New Facts Emerge... Nnia Nwodo Why?

MASTER REPORTERS GLOBAL NEWS

Bringing to you Breaking news from around the globe.

John Nnia Nwodo Is The New Ifeajuna...Negotiated And Sold Ndigbo To Atiku for Three Hundred Million Naira (300,000,000)

The President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the apex Igbo Cultural Organisation, Chief John Nnia Nwodo has controversially exposed himself because of greed. Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of PDP has scattered Ohanaeze ndigbo top hierarchy with his three hundred million (300,000,000) Naira endorsement bribe. If Nnia Nwodo had settled his Secretary General and his deputy the biggest betrayal of ndigbo after Ifeajuna by an individual would not be known but to the greatest surprise of the two persons who are privy to the negotiations, Nnia Nwodo sidelined them when payment were made.

Barrister Uche Okechukwu could not understand why Nnia Nwodo will pocket the three hundred million all to himself by providing three personal bank accounts where the bribe for endorsements money were lodged. This is not the mode of operation of Ohanaeze. Prof Anya O.Anya frowned at this greedy attitude of John Nnia Nwodo. The three bank accounts that received the three hundred million naira were all personal bank accounts of Nnia Nwodo with First Bank, United Bank of Africa, (U.B.A) and Diamond bank. The secretary general of the Ohanaeze, Barrister Uche Okechukwu had called an emergency meeting of Imeobi (Imeobi is the highest decision making organ of Ohanaeze Ndigbo) to discuss this dangerous trend. The meeting was held early this week.

Reacting publicly, Barrister Uche Okechukwu after the emergency meeting called on the Economic Financial Crime Commission, EFCC and the Police to investigate the Three hundred million bribe paid into the private bank accounts of the President General of Ohanaeze ndigbo because the apex Igbo Organisation are not the owner of the money and are not part of the events that cumulated to the greatest betrayal of Ndigbo by Nnia Nwodo. He call on the Igbo nation to condemn this unethical attitude as exhibited by the President General of Ohanaeze ndigbo. He siad that by this singular act, Nnia Nwodo is the number one hater of all that ndi Igbo stand for and should be treated with even bigger contempt and called on Nnia Nwodo to resign honourably or face impeachment.

Prof. Anya O. Anya called for vote of no confidence on Nnia Nwodo as he has shown clearly that he is a betrayer of the Igbo Nation and is not fit to lead. The bribe for endorsement saga will define ndigbo. It will clear the air and Make people understand who are our true leaders.

Orji Uzo Kalu has enjoined ndi Igbo at to disregard the call by Nnia Nwodo to support Atiku Abubakar for President. He wondered why Nnia Nwodo will play politics with the apex Igbo organisation. Chief Kalu maintained that Arewa Consultative Forum are yet to make their stand known on who to support in the coming presidential election but due to greed, Nnia Nwodo has exhibited total disrespect and disregard to the Igbo Nation by singlehandedly endorse PDP and Atiku Abubakar.

A telephone call to Nnia Nwodo to clear his name on this disturbing news was not answered.

I Have Been Fair To Igbos Despite Getting Low Votes From Them During 2015 Elections

MASTER REPORTERS GLOBAL NEWS

President Muhammadu Buhari has taken a swipe at those criticising him for alleged marginalisation of the Igbo.

Buhari said despite getting low votes from people in the region during the 2015 elections, he had been impartial in his appointments.

He spoke during an interview aired on Arise TV on Monday which was monitored by our correspondent.

The President had during the interview said if re-elected, it would not take a long time before he chose members of his cabinet.

“Somebody made an observation that I was not patronising the Igbo from the South East. I told him that when I won the election, I studied the amount of votes I got from all the geopolitical zones.

“I said I got 198,000 from the whole of the South East, which virtually any local government can give me. But I appointed ministers of foreign affairs, labour, industries, and investment, mines and tech; these four; I never knew them from Adam. Ministers of States from seven states of the north are under these ministers. How fair do you want me to be?” he added.

Igbos Should Give Buhari 5 Million Votes Come 2019 Osita - Okechukwu

MASTER REPORTERS GLOBAL NEWS

Bringing to you Breaking news from around the globe.

The Director-General of Voice of Nigeria (VON), Chief Osita Okechukwu, has urged Ndigbo ( igbos) to add millions of vote to President Muhammadu Buhari’s 12 million vote-bank.

“Ndigbo should strive to give President Buhari nothing less than five million block votes, that is a reasonable target for a performing President”, Okechukwu told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Enugu on Monday.

The VON boss made the call while reacting to the statement by ex-President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.at Nenwi during the weekend

Obasanjo was qouted to have said that “it is dangerous for Ndigbo to take All Progressives Congress (APC) government serious over the promise of 2023 Nigeria president of Igbo extraction’’.

Okechukwu, who is an ardent supporter of Buhari for over 20 years running, advised Obasanjo to give Ndigbo a break, adding that `since it is clear that 2023 is the turn of Ndigbo.”

“Let me thank our elder statesman, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, for first and most importantly urging Nigerians to give Ndigbo a chance,” he said.

VON boss also commended the ex-,president for recognising the fact that out of the three major ethnic nationalities only Ndigbo had not occupied Aso Presidential Villa.

“This being the case, he should give us a break; 2023 is our turn to produce president, for equity, natural justice and good conscience hinted by Obasanjo is to our advantage.

“The only reinforcement Ndigbo need to compliment this immeasurable equity, natural justice and good conscience is to vote for President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR.

“Voting massively for Buhari will elicit support from his followership of over 12 million voting Nigerians.

“Buhari I know will not embark on 3rd Term like Obasanjo. The truism is that, Buhari’s remaining four years post 2019 is cast in constitutional stone.

” This is unlike Atiku’s own which is at best a pledge, hence creates fluid 8 years for Obi and by extension Ndigbo.

“How come he didn’t handpick Obi to be Vice President in 2007, after embarking on the 3rd term wild goose chase, when he hurriedly settled for former President Goodluck Jonathan.

“He should give us a break and not distract us.”

On the impression that Buhari doesn’t like Ndigbo, Okechukwu said that it was an erroneous impression, stoked by ethnic merchants and vile propagandists.

“Remember that Buhari chose two of our brothers.as vice presidential candidates, Dr Chuba Okadigbo and Edwin Umezoke in 2003 and 2007 respectively.

“And if Ndigbo had voted for him in any of the two elections, he could have won.

” This is because Buhari had a treasured Vote-Bank of over 12 million votes, reflected in all his presidential elections – 2003, 2007, 2011, 2015,’’ he said.

“Let’s not allow our Yoruba brothers to beat Ndigbo to it again, this i suspect Obasanjo’s distraction is meant to achieve.

” This is so,especially when we remember that the Yorubas brought to the table, the critical votes which supplemented Buhari’s vote-bank in the immediate past presidential election.’’

Igbos Are In Good Position To Produce President Come 2023 If They Back Buhari -

MASTER REPORTERS GLOBAL NEWS

Bringing to you Breaking news from around the globe.

Ogbonnaya Onu, minister of science and technology, has called on the people of the south-east to support the re-election bid of President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019.

He made the call on Sunday during a stakeholders meeting held at his country home in Uburu, Ohaozara local government area of Ebonyi.

According to NAN, Onu said Nigeria’s president of Igbo extraction in 2023 can only be achieved under an All Progressives Congress-led government.

He said: “It is important to point out that south-east remains the only geo-political zone that is yet to produce an elected president of Nigeria and this is what everybody is aware of.

“The north-east, through the Prime Minister, Tafawa Belewa, north-west, south-west, south-south and north-central have all produced Nigeria’s president at different times with the exception of the south-east.

“The zone stands a better chance to bargain for the slot and only under APC can this arrangement be possible.

“We must therefore support the president for a second term in order to have a better chance of producing the next Nigeria president of Igbo origin.”

Onu said Buhari had performed well to deserve re-election in order to consolidate on the achievements he recorded in his first tenure.

He said the president had delivered on the three key promises he made in 2015, including security, fight against corruption and economic growth and development.

Onu said: “The administration, through a relentless war against graft, has reduced corruption and ensured transparency in governance.

“The government has engaged the Boko Haram insurgents and has reclaimed 18 local government areas previously annexed by the insurgents in Borno and Yobe states.

“The government has improved the ease of doing business and made the country a hub for foreign investments.

“The Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway and Enugu-Onitsha Expressway, which were abandoned for over 16 years, are nearing completion, while work on the Second Niger Bridge has commenced.

“The Federal Medical Centre, Umuahia, in Abia, has been equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment to stem medical tourism.

“The establishment of automobile industrial hub to serve as industrial park at Nnewi, in Anambara, and those located between Abia and Rivers boundaries are all part of the achievements of the Buhari-led administration.”

The apex Igbo socio-political organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo has reacted to remark by the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo that the South West can produce the next president if they vote for President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019.

The body said it was a pity that Osinbajo “could accept to be used like a toilet tissue to prosecute this precipitous political peregrination.”

National  Publicity Secretary of the body, Prince Uche Achi-Okpagha said such remark indicated that the Buhari-led government was out to deceive the various regions into voting for the ruling party in 2019.

Achi-Okpagha said the Buhari government placed no premium on people of the South East.

Speaking with Vanguard, on Wednesday, Achi-Okpagha said: “It is obvious from available and bleeding facts that to trust the present government of PMB is to build on sand. I have no reason also to doubt that this government does not place any premium on the Igbo.

“The Igbo have suffered the worst neglect and victimisation ever under this government. It is more disheartening because the more we complain or unveil the deficiencies and discrepancies, the more policies, programmes and appointments among others, are made with blatant disregard to the chagrin of the lgbo.
It was clinically laid bare by the last recommendation of EFCC board members to the Senate without south-east and south-south memberships. There is no gainsaying that apart from the statutory ministerial appointment per state, the Igbo are nowhere to be found in this government.

“Right from the outset of Buhari’s government, he did not mince words or mumble on his resolve to skip the south-east with her “five per cent” vote in 2015. It is therefore not in doubt that any promise of Igbo presidency in 2023 by this government is a complete and callous hoax on the Igbo nation.

“The insincerity of this government has made her an enemy to the people and as Robin Hood would have it, “there is no trust in a promise made by an enemy.

“It is a pity that the vice president, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, a professor of Law and above all, an ordained priest of the Most High God could accept to be used like a toilet tissue, to prosecute this precipitous political peregrination.

“This is a government that is pathologically replete with her deceptive embellishments. Note that neither President Buhari nor any northern political stalwart has made a pronouncement on the 2023 presidency.

“Instead, they have allowed some cabinet members of Yoruba extraction, including Osinbajo and Fashola, to dissipate energy to the effect that the south-west would have presidency in 2023.

“It is an orchestrated plot to hoodwink the people of the two regions in order to elicit their votes.”

Igbos Should Vote For Buhari Or Forget About 2023 Presidency - Osita Okechukwu

MASTER REPORTERS GLOBAL NEWS

Bringing to you Breaking news from around the globe.

A Chieftain ofAll Progressives Congress (APC) and Voice of Nigeria (VON) Director-General Osita Okechukwu, has once again urge the people of South-East to support President Muhammadu Buhari’s re-election in order to have advantage of 2023 Igbo Presidency.

Osita Okechukwu, yesterday said that only the South-east people can deny the region of the presidency in 2023 if they vote against President Buhari in the next year presidential election.

He warned that the fruit of whatever they sow with their votes would be there for them to harvest in 2023, should they cast their ballot against Buhari.

Okechuku, who was reacting to the statement credited to the Ohanaeze Ndigbo to the effect that 2023 Igbo presidency quest is a plot to hoodwink the region, counselled the Igbo leadership to put its house in order and organise the region ahead of the 2023 presidency rather than agonise.

He said: “May I once more appeal to the leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo to start organising for Nigeria’s president of Igbo extraction in 2023, instead of agonising. It is surreal for the truism is that equity, natural justice and good conscience is on our side.

“All we need to do is for the Ohanaeze Ndigbo leadership to think out of the box, reflect deeply, and dust off ancient stereotypes and prejudices by voting for President Buhari.

“The real politics is that voting Buhari will better galvanise and strengthen our alliance with the North, more than voting for Atiku Abubakar. Buhari has a vote bank of 10-12 million voters, mostly his core followership reflected in his bids in 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2015 presidential elections.

“Is it not disheartening for the National Publicity Secretary of Ohanaeze, Prince Uche Achi-Okpagha to agonise thus?”

He quoted the Ohanaze as saying: “Note that neither President Buhari, nor any Northern political stalwart has made a pronouncement on the 2023 presidency, instead they have allowed some cabinet members of Yorubas extraction, including Osinbajo and Fashola, to dissipate energy to the effect that Southwest would have presidency in 2023. It is an orchestrated plot to hoodwink the people of the two regions in order to elicit their votes.”

Okechukwu reminded his kinsmen of the Secretary to Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha’s statement that “the quickest and easiest means to the presidency for the Southeast is to support President Muhammadu Buhari’s second term”.

He also reminded them that they “can short-circuit the period in terms of only having him there for another four years and whatever they do in 2019 will determine what will happen thereafter because politics is a game of numbers and it is like a cooperative society.”

Okechukwu went on: “Whatever you bring as an investment when dividends are going to be shared, you will get proportionate with your investment and your investment in politics is what you bring to the table and I urge the Southeast to look at this matter seriously that every time we have a presidency in Nigeria, it is negotiated in several ways. Either negotiated by votes or what you bring to the table and you must negotiate from the position of strength.”

Reminding them that the Southeast remained the only zone in the Southern Belt that has not presided over Nigeria from the Aso Villa since the rotation of the presidency between Northern and Southern Belts began in 1999, he said: “2023 is our turn, unless we wittingly or unwittingly throw it away.

“Hence, it is my candid view that with such immeasurable equity, natural justice and good conscience on our side, 2023 president is Ndigbo’s turn; unless Ohanaeze continues to angonise instead of organising.

“The present rotation convention, we mustn’t forget, was in the first place constructed to engender equity, peace and harmony of our dear nation. Let’s harvest it.

“One therefore appeals to Ohanaeze leader.

Why Nigeria May Not Survive Till 2023 - Igbo Leaders Reveals

Why Nigeria May Not Survive Till 2023 - Igbo Leaders Reveals

MASTER REPORTERS GLOBAL NEWS

Bringing to you Breaking news from around the globe.

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Elders Council in Abuja has said that the re-election of President Buhari may lead to the disintegration of Nigeria.

Chairman of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Elders Council in Abuja and former Governor of Anambra State, Chief Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife stated this when some members of Ohanaeze Elders Council, Abuja led by the Director General of Igbo

Mandate Congress, IMC, Rev Dr Obinna Akukwe, paid him a courtesy call at Igboukwu to determine how far the reconciliation committee set up by Ohanaeze has gone in uniting Igbos ahead of the 2019 elections.

Chief Ezeife said, ”Ndigbo believes in one Nigeria and we do not want this country to disintegrate but a continuation of the present arrangement with all the numerous crises across the country could lead to a situation whereby there’s no nation anymore, therefore, let us preserve Nigeria first.”

On the vexed issue of Igbo Presidency, which the All Progressive Congress led Federal Government have touted to Ndigbo in 2023 if they vote for Buhari’s second tenure, Chief Ezeife said that there will only be Igbo presidency if there is a Nigeria.

Going further he said that “Yes, we want Igbo Presidency, and our governors have been assembled in Aso Rock to persuade them on the project, but if by 2023 Nigeria has disintegrated, on what will the Igbo presidency float. I doubt whether Nigeria will survive till 2023.”

Replying to inquiries on how far Ohanaeze have gone in uniting those opposed to Peter Obi;s emergence as Vice Presidential Candidate to Atiku Abubakar, Chief Ezeife told Igbo Mandate Congress chieftains that Ohanaeze in Abuja have spoken to some of the aggrieved parties and the efforts are yielding results.

He described the choice of Peter Obi as running mate to Atiku as an expedient choice.

According to him, “Peter Obi happens to be the most acceptable Igbo personality for the job. This man governed Anambra State and thinned down the paraphernalia of government, moves with few sirens, carries his luggage aboard aircraft by himself, all in order to save money to develop the state and he left over N70 billion in cash and investments to his successor, and developed the state in the process.”

“All these attempts to blackmail him are afterthoughts because the EFCC and other agencies had five years to investigate him, the sudden freezing of his accounts and other spurious stories does not affect the capacity of Peter Obi to be an effective Vice President.”

The former governor disagreed with Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB on the plot to boycott elections in the South East.

He said that boycotting the election is handing over power to Buhari through the back door.

Igbo Presidency Can Only Be Possible If Igbos Will Come Out In Mass To Vote For Buhari - Chairman NDDC, Ndoma Egba

MASTER REPORTERS GLOBAL NEWS

Bringing to you Breaking news from around the globe.

Chairman, Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and former Senate Leader, Sen. Victor Ndoma-Egba, has said that the people of the South East have no option than to support the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari as their quest to the presidency can only be assured in 2023.

Senator Victor Ndoma Egba also senatorial candidate in the 2019 general election, speaking with journalists at the weekend in Abuja, however, said while there would be no automatic ticket for the region, they must put their house in order if they really wanted to get to the country’s number one citizen.

Egba said: “For the South East, I think they will go with President Buhari.

They are hoping to produce a President in 2023 and that opportunity can only come through President Buhari because by the application of law, come 2023, Buhari will become ineligible to contest because he must end his tenure and that is when the South East can have their turn.

Any other person that comes, forget whatever promises they make.

“The moment they sit on that chair, they must take their constitutional two full terms.

So, any other person will delay the chances for the South East. That is why I think the South East will go with President Buhari”.

2019 : Igbos In Nasarawa Called On INEC To Conduct A Peaceful, Credible Elections

2019 : Igbos In Nasarawa Called On INEC To Conduct A Peaceful, Credible Elections

MASTER REPORTERS GLOBAL NEWS

Bringing to you Breaking news from around the globe.

Linus Oota, Lafia

Ahead of 2019 general elections, Ndigbo under the aegis of All Saints Igbo Catholic Community in Nasarawa State, have   called on the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC), to ensure peaceful and credible conduct of elections in 2019.

They have also promised to commit to peaceful conduct of the elections and supporting the state government and INEC ahead of the polls.

Chairman of the group, Nwagede Michael, made the call at the thanksgiving/end of year celebration and launching of their uniform at Saint Gabriel Catholic Church, Lafia.

He said: “Igbo are a people of destiny who  must do all to keep the country (together). Both the young people and the elderly must preach peace at all times especially now that the country is going into crucial elections.

“We must have a home base. Yes, they receive us in Nasarawa; they receive us everywhere in the country, but we must have a strong home base like Israel.

“Once we have a strong home base, then we become useful to Nigeria; that’s the way God wants it.”

“We Igbo are God’s gift to Nigeria. But Nigeria is pushing Igbo down and therefore keeping Nigeria down. But this appears to be the time Igbo will work to enthrone Nigeria and make Nigeria a superpower; that is our assignment and we must make sure that this happens.

“Igbo are egalitarian people; we want to sell that egalitarianism to all Nigerians.

“The elections are almost here. The campaigns are on;  Nigerians should be praying to God.  If we pray hard enough – Yoruba, Hausas, Igbo – everybody – the elections would be rancour free.”.

Chief  Williams Abanonu noted that having set an enviable record during the 2015 general elections, the country cannot afford to bring low that record in 2019, adding: “We must up the ante, because whatever we do will have impact on the continent and serve as a representation of Africa on the global stage.

“We cannot afford to send the wrong signals with our actions or inaction as we prepare for next elections. The world must take positive cues from us that we are ready to improve on our process, that we want to make our electoral process more transparent and commendable. This is because perception matters; as we all know, perception is in fact, a reality.”

“All of us who are gathered here have the responsibility to contribute ideas; INCE should further seek the cooperation of the respective stakeholders: security agencies to ensure strict compliance. It is by so doing that Nigerians can trust the process, and it will be clear to all that the right steps have been taken.”

Only Buhari Will Give Igbos President Come 2023 - Group Says

MASTER REPORTERS GLOBAL NEWS

Bringing to you Breaking news from around the globe.

A group, ‘One–on-One Nigeria’, which is campaigning for the reelection of President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019 has said that its main reason for the support was that only Buhari presidency could guarantee the emergence of a Nigerian president of Igbo extraction in 2013.

Addressing reporters in Awka, coordinator of the group, Chief Chido Obidiegwu observed that only Buhari had truly recognized Igbo as an important segment of the country, recalling that despite losing heavily in the South East during the 2015 election, the president had continued to address the Igbo’s most pressing needs, which bordered mainly on infrastructural development.

Obidiegwu, who was Governor Willie Obiano’s senior special assistant on events, recently led a group of Igbo people to the presidential villa to announce their support to the president for the 2019 election.

He said: “Post Biafran war kept Igbo in a despondent debilitating status whereby they were relegated to the 4th class status from their hitherto 1st class status in the .Nigerian traditional tripod.

“Successive military and civilian administrations could not do much to elevate the Igbo spirit as desired and deserved. It only took President Buhari who Igbo rejected at the polls, to address some of their key desires abandoned by previous regimes.

President Buhari’s other national socio-economic and political interventions have also endeared him to well meaning Igbo people.

“In the light of the foregoing, we humbly and effusively invite and implore our brothers and sisters all over Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo, Delta and Rivers State, as well as those in Diaspora, to join us in this noble and laudable cause for the total emancipation of the Igbo race and restoration of the dignity of the Igbo man.

“We believe in Igbo cause and what we are doing is how to achieve the Igbo presidency. As far as we are concerned, the Igbo presidency will be achieved fastest if Buhari wins the president in 2019.”

According to him, through Igbo pitched tents with former President Goodluck Jonathan and humiliated President Buhari at the 2015 polls, a school of thought expected President Buhari to pay Igbo back in their own coin, but he did not do that.

Rather, he added, Buhari began serious work on the long abandoned second Niger Bridge, the long abandoned Enugu- Port Harcourt express way, the Zik’s mausoleum and Aba Independent Power plant, among other projects, which Igbo yearned for over 16 years, but could not realize.

Obidiegwu said the One-on-One Nigeria group was resolute and unequivocal in its support for the president’s second tenure, adding that its action plans were already unfolding in the 1694 political wards in South-Eastern Nigeria, 95 local government areas, 15 Senatorial zones, the five South East states and parts of Delta and River states.

Allow Igbos To Produce The Next IGP - Group Tells Buhari

eMASTER REPORTERS GLOBAL NEWS

A civil society/human rights organisation, International Society for Civil Liberties and the Rule of Law (Intersociety) has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to appoint the next Inspector General of Police from the South East as the incumbent IGP, Ibrahim Idris, is due for retirement on January 3, 2019.

The group in statement issued in Onitsha, Anambra State and signed by its Board Chairman, Emeka Umeagbalasi; Head, Campaign and Publicity, Chidinma Udegbunam, and Head, Civil Liberties and Rule of Law, Obianuju Igboeli, recalled that the outgoing Idris joined the Force on December 31, 1984 and was born on January 3 1959.

It said going by the the list of senior police officers (IGP-CSP), it meant that on January 3, 2019, Idris would have attained the age of 60 and 35 years in civil service in accordance with the Civil Service Rules of the Federation 2008.

Making a strong case for the appointment of a qualified Igbo police officer as the next IGP, Intersociety said: “Owing to widespread allegations and reports of exclusion of the citizens of South East and the Region from several important federal appointments including top security appointments such as membership of the Nigerian security or Service Chiefs by the present Buhari administration as well as constant defenseless denials by the administration, the vacancy created by the retirement in three weeks time is now a major test case for the administration.

Intersociety warned against the “ongoing plots by Nigeria’s ruling cabal and profiteers of ethno-religious chauvinism in the country to bend the rules including pushing the retirement of IGP Ibrahim Idris off the Nigerian and world media and attention so as to subvert the due process and law to unlawfully, illegally and unconstitutionally retain Mr. Ibrahim Kpotum Idris.

“Going by our several investigations, it is correct to say that all is not well with Igbo nation state or South East Region in the present political dispensation especially in the country’s security forces.”

The policy of “leave the force for your own interest and to safeguard your life or stay back and get silenced or get ready to face years of stagnancy or posting tea making,” appears to have been entrenched against serving sons and daughters of the region. Our cursory look into the patterns and trends governing enlistment, promotion or ranking and posting in the present NPF is a clear attestation to that fact.

“Therefore, it is time for the Buhari administration to prove to the entire world that it is not running a hate policy including political and securitisation exclusion, segregation and persecution against the people.
